Who, you might ask? Why it's none other than one of Michelle's earliest, if not her first, professional acting gigs! She appeared on the late and dearly missed soap Guiding Light from 1988 to 1990, earning a Daytime Emmy nomination along the way. Michelle played the tormented twins Sonni and Solita Carrera, the former of whom was involved big time with one of the show's leading men, Josh Lewis.

I want more episodes of Guiding Light to be released on DVD for other reasons (Otalia!), as sales from this first disc will determine if any more DVDs will be released. More DVDs = possibly more Michelle episodes. So please, if you'd like to see young!Michelle awesomeness, please order a DVD and support this project.

*edit There's now a Reva Shayne DVD collection, and my friend tells me Michelle is in this also.

Meanwhile, I expect y'all to pass this quiz with flying colors.

Great new long Michelle Interview

Hello all!

I hope that this is ok.  Since Michelle was nice enough to make this donation I would love to see the bidding go high so she can see her generosity really making a difference.

While appearing at NYCC in 2010 Michelle Forbes was kind enough to donate an autograph to be auctioned off for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. In addition to helping people living with HIV/AIDS BC/EFA is also a major supporter of The Actor's Fund (which helps members of the entertainment industry during times of crisis) and the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative (which helps women in the entertainment industry w/preventing and living through Breast, Cervical and Ovarian Cancers).

Michelle personalized the message adding "Please help support Broadway Cares."

This item is 100 percent tax deductible and every dollar raised can help people who may feel there is no help to be found.
Please consider making a bid HERE.

I also have created a small store on Zazzle with BSG & AIDS & Breast Cancer support merchandise HERE. All profits will also be donated to BC/EFA.

And if you would like to see my fundraiser it is located HERE.

Thank you so much!!

It was pretty hard to make a selection of just 10 characters, there are many awsome ones to chose from.
And Michelle Forbes being as talented as she is, she portrayes every one of them superbly.
But, it was time for me to grow some balls and make a top 10 list

The many face of Michelle Forbes

… and what Nan think's of them

Take me to the list!

What does an actress who played a maenad—yeah I had to look it up too—on a hit HBO series have in common with the "Dog Whisperer?” Well apparently they share the same view on the cruel and nearly unlivable conditions that are all too common in puppy mills.

Michelle Forbes and Cesar Millan will join forces with animal rights non-profit Last Chance for Animals (LCA) for the organization’s "Adopt, Don’t Shop” campaign’s "Puppy Mill Awareness Day” on September 18 from 11 AM to 3 PM at the La Brea Tar Pits on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.

The goal of the event is to raise public awareness of the brutality that takes place in puppy mills while also showing the benefits of adopting a four legged companion from an animal shelter in lieu of pro-puppy mill pet stores.

"It is important that the cruelty in puppy mills be brought to the attention of the masses and be stopped," Cesar Millan said. "It is our goal to discourage pet store and internet sales of puppies and kittens and to encourage adoption from rescue organizations and animal shelters instead. Adopt, don't shop.”

"People need to realize where that 'puppy in the window' came from," said LCA founder Chris DeRose. "Puppy and kitten mills breed and sell millions of puppies and kittens for profit, while 4 million homeless dogs and cats are killed in U.S. shelters every year due to overpopulation.”

Mad TV’s Debra Wilson, Los Angeles Postmaster Mark Anderson, L.A. Council Member Tom LaBonge, West Hollywood City Council Member Jeffrey Prang, and L.A. Animal Services General Manager Brenda Barnette will also attend the LCA sponsored event.
